I once told a friend I could never have my own blog, but after many requests - I'm going to give this blog gig a try. So, this is a training blog and I'll try to keep it to that. So, how has the training been? Well, let's just say it's been a crazy spring. I've been teaching, coaching, going to graduate school, and working a second job. I was in killer shape back in April before I got seriously sick during my spring break. Enough with the excuses, I'm back to training again. I put in a nice easy four miles down Montgomery Village Avenue today. Hopefully, that will be my shortest run in the entire month of June. With the turn of every season, I get that itch to race and train again. It's only June and cross country is definitely in the air. You can just see it everywhere. The beautiful weather gets everyone inspired to run.
As I was running down Montgomery Village, I think through my to-do-list before the end of the school year, Marine Corps, and xc competition for my high school team. Man, I miss running big miles. I'm putting in at least 8 on Tuesday. Life is finally slowing down again and I'm loving it! My seniors are graduating on Wednesday and I can't believe it. Time flies. Always remember that. 4 Miles today. Many more miles to run.
